The rise and fall of HOKU

Hoku...

I'm setting up buy limits for puts on this joke of a company. Marketcap should be NO MORE than 20 million!!! 20 mil should cover the cash on the balance sheet.

Currently, HOkU's market crap is at 158 million. LoL!

Bwa ha ha ha!! Revenue is at about $3 million.... dude, I've prepared taxes for two smalls stores that grossed almost $2 million here in Hawaii.

I'll compare HOKU with another Hawaii company, Hawaiian Holdings/Airlines (HA). Their market cap is about $250 million, and their revs are almost $1 billion. Come on folks! HOKU is a "trading stock" and the traders are DONE here.

Look, I'm going this Monday down to Campbell Industrial park to take a picture of this building, and I'll show you how teeny tiny this company is. I'll probably go inside the office and ask if I can get a job there, that way I can ask them more about their company. Maybe I'll send my brother, he's an electrical engineer and knows more junk about this stuff than I do.

What about Hoku's future? I've read their transcripts, and they have all these "lines of credits" with big solar companies up in China... what kind of crap is that!!! When your upline is outsourced from someplace like China, that's a big risk. I mean, look at SOLF, which gives HOKU their pV technology. The stock is falling like a rock. Anyway, something like "$20 million line of credit" doesn't mean squat! It's almost like a marketing campaign, and only fools would get excited over this.

More bad news... their CEO is only 35 years old. Sorry, I don't think young guys should run companies... not because they don't have talent or skill, but because they lack connections. And here, on this tiny state, YOU NEED CONNECTIONS!! Anyway, I give my respects to the older guys, well, not those really really old guys, like Timet, who runs TIE. LoL!

Hmmm, what else can I say about HoKu? Well, even though their branching into pV, right now, the market for it sux. One of my friends has photo-valtaic panels on his roof, but only because he's a millionaire, and he basically sold a house so he had money to buy that overpriced machine(you get a nice energy tax credit though!). I can tell you, I haven't seen ONE OTHER HOUSE with photovaltaic panels. They're too darn expensive, and right now, with energy prices so high, I doubt people can't afford this "luxury alternative energy item"... irony.

• XM Satellite (XMSR) - how will the community respond to their Inno's ability to download songs from the radio?
• Apple (AAPL) - waiting for Jobs to make a move. A new jaw-dropping iPod phone would be a nice move.
• XTO Energy (XTO) - energy companies are consolidating, XTO would be a good target.
• Bodisen Biotech (BBC) - no other company quite like this, just nailed a good contract, but volume is still small. Next earnings could be good.
• Baidu (BIDU) - Google sold their stake. What's Baidu's next move? It's win or go home for Baidu.
• Elan (ELN) - any news or rumor on PML and I'm shorting Elan with both fists.
• Exelis (EXEL) - Motely Fool's bet the farm on this company, so I'm waiting to see if any of their cancer drugs rocks the pharmaceutical world.
